Academics at UMW

Members of the UMW faculty are energetically engaged in productive research and scholarship leading to the advancement of their disciplines, but teaching remains their primary goal and purpose.

The undergraduate College of Arts and Sciences is committed to providing a well rounded liberal arts and sciences education. The college offers its students the opportunity to pursue individual or collaborative research projects. Supportive faculty and more than $180,000 in student research funds annually make ours one of the most ambitious undergraduate research programs in the nation.
