Our History

The UMW Statement of Community Values is the foundation upon which the mission of the ACDCV rests. In 2002, President William Anderson merged the Council on Community Values and the Affirmative Action /Equal Employment Opportunity Committee to facilitate achieving their already interconnected goals, and to serve the Office of the President in an advisory capacity. In Fall 2003, the group became known as the Advisory Council on Diversity and Community Values (ACDCV).
