Admissions Requirements
The Bachelor of Professional Studies (BPS) degree is designed for adults who have accumulated at least 30 semester hours of transferable credit. This degree completion program provides graduates with educational experiences in theory and application in the world of work that may introduce them to or advance their technical and professional careers. Classes are given in the evenings at our Stafford campus so that you may continue working while completing your studies. What follows are the requirements for admissions to the BPS Program. Application Dates:
All applications should be complete (application forms and all supporting documents) by the following dates:
Fall Admission: June 15
Spring Admission: October 15
Summer Admission: march 15
Late applications will be accepted on a space available basis. Please contact the Office of Admissions at (540) 286-8088 for clarification.
Application Checklist
A completed application packet consists of:
- A completed Application for Admission, Application for Virginia In-State Tuition Rates and a $50 non-refundable application fee or fee waiver
- Official transcripts from all colleges attended, even if the credits were transferred to another school.
- Official documentation of all nontraditional credit earned (e.g., CLEP or DANTES tests, military training, etc.)
- Verification of high school completion - transcript, copy of diploma, copy of GED award letter .
