Message from UMW Police

The following message is from UMW Police:

The UMW Police, as a courtesy to the Fredericksburg Police Department, requests that anyone who has seen this man please alert the Fredericksburg Police Department at 540/373-3122. He is being sought regarding an attempted abduction that took place off-campus August 11 in the Westmont area of Fredericksburg. The victim, a 22-year-old female, was unharmed and was able to flee from the assailant.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his 50′s with a stocky build, short dark hair, and an unshaven face. The victim stated that his fingernails were dirty and he had bad teeth; he also spoke limited and heavily accented English. He was driving an older white car with four doors. The suspect was last seen on Highland Road.
