The following message is from the UMW Police :
This morning, Thursday, January 17, the University Police Department was contacted by a student who noticed an object in the Marshall parking lot that appeared to be a weapon. After investigation, the police officer recovered what appeared to be a 38- or 357-caliber revolver. Upon further examination, the officer found that the revolver was a replica that cannot be fired. The owner of this revolver or anyone with information should contact the Sergeant Brad Sullivan with University Police at (540) 654-1025.
