Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 4:57 P.M.

The National Weather Service  has issued a severe thunderstorm warning effective until 4:57 p.m. for Fredericksburg, Stafford, Spotsylvania and Culpeper counties. This is a dangerous storm. If you are in its path, prepare immediately for damaging wind gusts, large hail and  lightning. Move indoors to a sturdy building and stay away from windows.

While Fredericksburg Police are still investigating an off-campus incident yesterday involving a robbery and stabbing, an immediate danger no longer exists. UMW Police continue to urge you to exercise caution and remain aware of your surroundings at all times. The message from the UMW Police is in accordance with the federal Clery Act.
