The north-end of the Fredericksburg campus is experiencing a brief power outage. Buildings affected include Alvey and Arrington residence halls, the Jepson Science Center, the Anderson Center, Goolrick Hall and the Fitness Center. The problem has been identified by Dominion Power and is expected to be restored by 3:15 p.m. this afternoon, Wednesday, February 19.
Due to adverse weather conditions, the University will be closed Friday, Feb. 14 on the Fredericksburg, Stafford and Dahlgren campuses. The following areas are currently closed on the Fredericksburg campus: Alvey Hill, Marshall Hill and parking in the inside lanes of Double Drive. They will be opened as conditions allow.
On Wednesday, January 29, the University will have a delayed opening on the Fredericksburg, Stafford and Dahlgren campuses. Administrative offices will open at 10 a.m. and classes will begin at 10 a.m.
Students displaced by the Arrington Hall steam leak have been notified that they can return to their rooms. The steam leak in the residence hall has been repaired so that heat and hot water has been restored. We thank the students who were affected for their patience and cooperation while repairs were being made.
