CLASS OF 1983 • 25th Reunion

The class of 1983 will have their class picture taken at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 31. The picture will be taken on the steps of Monroe Hall during the picnic luncheon.

Dear Class of 1983 Classmates;

The name may have changed (slightly) but the place is the same! It is May and our 25th Reunion is fast approaching!  By now you should have received an informational brochure in the mail for Reunion Weekend 2008, May 29-June 1.

What a fabulous year for the Class of ’83 to celebrate our 25th Reunion with the University of Mary Washington’s Centennial Celebration also!   If you have not attended a Reunion in the past, this is the year to do it!  If you have been back before, we want to see you again!  The campus is amazing with new dorms, library, the Centennial Campanile, the Jepson Alumni Center, and many other improvements.   Reunion Weekend has added many more fun and varied activities due to the hard work of the Office of Alumni Relations and many others.  There are activities for all ages!  Bring your spouse, children, and grandchildren and show off this very special place!

Accommodations:  The class of ’83 will be at the Hilton Garden Inn.  Please call and reserve your room as soon as possible.  The Hilton is located in Central Park and offers a breakfast buffet for $11.00.  The phone number is 540-548-8822.  The rate is $109 per night.

Friday Night Dinner in Fredericksburg:  As a new tradition, most classes are meeting at a downtown Fredericksburg restaurant on Friday night for great food, drinks and a chance to get re-acquainted.  We have chosen “TruLuvs Bistro” at 1101 Sophia Street.  It is a quaint place with beautiful views of the Rappahannock River.  The meal includes a choice of several entrees, non-alcoholic drinks, taxes and tips for $38.00.   Beer, wine and other drinks are available at the bar.
