Five Eagles Named to All-CAC Women's Lacrosse Teams

University of Mary Washington senior Caitlin Erickson has enjoyed the greatest season in UMW women's lacrosse history. Erickson, an attacker from Cypress, Texas, has broken the UMW school records for career points (295), career assists (122), season points (135), and season assists (77) this year, leading the Eagles into today's Capital Athletic Conference semifinal game at St. Mary's College. •more
 

#20 UMW Women's Lacrosse Tops Marymount, 16-6, in CAC Quarterfinals

Senior attacker Caitlin Erickson scored four goals and added five assists to pace the 20th ranked University of Mary Washington to a 16-6 win over Marymount University on Sunday in the Capital Athletic Conference tournament quarterfinals at a rainy Battleground. Erickson, who with classmate Sarah Finney broke the school record for most career games played, will lead the Eagles into the CAC semifinals on Tuesday at St. Mary's College. •more

#20 UMW Women's Lacrosse Falls to #1 Salisbury, 17-12

The 20th ranked University of Mary Washington women's lacrosse team jumped out to an early lead, but top ranked Salisbury answered with a 13-goal second half in downing the Eagles, 17-12, in the Capital Athletic Conference regular season finale on Thursday at the Battleground. The Eagles enter the CAC Tournament Sunday with a 9-7 overall record, and 5-2 mark in conference play. •more

The sixteenth ranked University of Mary Washington women's lacrosse team dropped a 19-12 decision at #18 St. Mary's College on Saturday, to fall to 9-6 overall and 5-1 in Capital Athletic Conference play. Senior Caitlin Erickson continued her assault on the UMW record book, with two goals and nine assists, to break the career points (278), season points (119) and season assists (68) records. •more

Erickson surpasses the 100 point mark for the season, and the 250 point mark for her career, becoming just the third player in school history to surpass that milestone. •more
