UMW Women's Lacrosse Head Coach Dana Hall
In eighteen years as the head coach of the University of Mary Washington women's lacrosse program, Dana Hall has turned the Eagles into one of the premier programs in all of NCAA Division III. In the past eleven seasons, the Eagles have raced to a 123-59 mark, including a combined 94-43 in the past seven years (.686 winning percentage), five NCAA Tournament appearances, and back-to-back trips to the 2001 and 2002 NCAA Division III Final Fours.
A true player's coach, Hall has posted a 179-102 career record in eighteen years at the helm of UMW women's lacrosse. Since taking over the field hockey and lacrosse programs at UMW in the fall of 1990, Hall's teams have advanced to ten NCAA Championships, including in five of the past seven years in lacrosse and four of the past six years in field hockey.
The 2001 NCAA Division III National Women's Lacrosse Coach of the Year by 360Lacrosse.com, Hall is the winningest lacrosse coach in school history, having won her 100th game at UMW during the 2001 season. Her last six teams have broken nearly every school record, including records for wins, winning percentage, and scoring. For her teams' efforts she has been named the Virginia College Division Coach of the Year in two of the past four years. She was also named national coach of the year in field hockey in 1993.
A multi-sport athlete at Frostburg State University, Hall earned all-state honors in both field hockey and lacrosse for the Bobcats. An associate professor of health and physical education, Hall also serves as assistant athletic director and senior women's administrator at Mary Washington. The mother of two daughters, Hall resides in Spotsylvania, VA.
