UMW Volleyball Raises Over $3,000 to Support Breast Cancer Research With Ace for a Cure Program
October 21, 2007The University of Mary Washington volleyball team raised $3,238 for local and national breast cancer research throughout the 2007 season with "Ace for a Cure" season-long event. Sponsors for this event made a donation for every "ace" or "block" accomplished throughout the season, culminating at the last home game, last night vs. Marymount University. October 18, 2007The University of Mary Washington volleyball team won its fourth straight Capital Athletic Conference match with a 3-0 win at Hood College on Thursday night in Frederick, Md. The Eagles improve to 19-9 overall. •more

UMW Volleyball Wins Roanoke Invitational; Lutkenhaus Named Tourney MVP
October 7, 2007The University of Mary Washington volleyball team defeated Eastern Mennonite University, 3-0, and dropped a close 3-2 decision to the University of Dallas on Sunday at the Roanoke College Invitational, winning the tournament title with a 3-1 mark at the event. Sophomore Anne Lutkenhaus was named the tournament Most Valuable Player, and junior Kelley Hueber was also named to the all-tournament team. •more

October 6, 2007The University of Mary Washington volleyball team won a pair of matches on Saturday evening at the Roanoke College Invitational Tournament. The Eagles topped Mary Baldwin College in three games before topping Roanoke College in four. •more

The Eagles topped Messiah College in four games before beating Catholic University and Trinity College in three games each.
