Who's Going Where

OVERVIEW

The campus is going to be in a state of flux for the next several years.  The Lee Hall project is scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2009, but it will quickly be followed by the Monroe renovation and most likely the renovation of George Washington Hall after that. The University currently lacks sufficient "swing space" to accommodate large building renovations. In addition to leasing off-campus office space, the use of on-campus modular office units is a necessity during this time. The modulars will be dressed up to be as attractive as possible while in place on campus. For example, the bookstore unit has a deck to allow outdoor seating, and a canvas awning will be installed over the deck; fencing has been installed beside the unit on College Avenue, and new landscaping and walkways surround the units. Blending the units into our campus is especially important since the modulars will be in place when Mary Washington hosts events for our 100th anniversary celebration.
