This is simply a list of career or internship fair opportunities that is either open to the public and/or UMW students have been directly invited. Please direct all questions to the website or phone number for each listing. Schedule an appointment with a career counselor if you would like help preparing for a career fair or review these tips.

Teaching

MAEE Education Job Fair, presented by the University of Delaware, Trabant University Center, Main Street, Newark, Wednesday, Dec. 2; 11am to 4pm. Students/candidates are welcome to arrive anytime during these hours and stay as long or as little as they wish depending on their needs. Pre-registration is not required, but if you would like your name/contact info to be included in a database that will be shared with the participating school districts, there is a step to do this.

The Fairfax County Public Schools Secondary Instructional Job Fair, Saturday, January 23, 2010 (Snow Date: January 30, 2010), Fairfax County, Virginia. To be considered for an interview, candidates must apply online between November 9, 2009 and January 14, 2010.

Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) Elementary Instructional Job Fair, Saturday, February 20, 2010 (Snow Date: February 27, 2010), Fairfax County, Virginia. To be considered for an interview, candidates must apply online between November 9, 2009 and February 12, 2010.

Shenandoah Valley Teacher Recruitment Fair, February 27, 2010; Harrisonburg, Va. Register online between Jan. 1 and Feb. 1.

Southern Teachers Agency Recruitment Fair, March 19, 2010; Charlottesville, Va. STA provides a free service to candidates seeking jobs in private/independent schools in the South. We are the only agency dedicated to work in the South, and have placed more teachers in the South than any other service. Teaching certificate is not required for grades 6-12.
