What are your Accomplishments?
Result driven and accomplishment laden résumés get noticed and increase your chances of landing an interview. Listing your job duties as accomplishments will strengthen your resume by providing evidence that you can get the job done. Use numbers and be concrete when discussing accomplishments on your résumé and in person.
To discover your accomplishments think about the following questions:
- What has changed as a result of my actions?
- What evidence exists that I improved the situation, internship, job position, class learning, etc?
- What am I proud of?
- How did I achieve more with less?
- Have I reduced costs, saved time, or increased efficiency on a project with an idea or through leadership?
- Have I lessened the work load of a fellow coworker?
- Have I improved sales or increased team morale?
- Have I received an award or praise from a superior for an action?
- Did my skills positively affect the company? If yes, how?
