Career Services offers the following resources free for UMW students and alumni. Contact Career Services to receive passwords for some of the resources below.
ERECRUITING/EXPERIENCE contains:
1. Job and internship listing that specifically target Mary Washington students.
2. An EAGLE MENTOR section that lists alumni willing to give advice on career related topics.
3. A place to upload your résumé so that it can be seen by employers as well as view sample resume formats.
4. A place to signup for on-campus interviews.
5. A place to register for Career Services' workshops. Once logged in to eRecruiting/Experience, click "Calendar" and "Workshops" to locate the workshop you plan on attending.
*To get started, click the link above and follow the directions on the login page. Students may self register.

MYPLAN
This new assessment tool can help you explore careers, majors and more. Contact Career Services for a license code and follow the directions after clicking on the link above. You will create your own username and password. Enter the license code on the second page of the "create an account" section. All of the assessments are free for UMW students.

VAULT ONLINE CAREER LIBRARY
Download over 90 books in adobe format, conduct company or industry research, review career advice, watch career videos, and participate in message boards. To create an account, click the link above and type your UMW email address in under "New to Career Insider?" and click "Create an Account". Follow the instructions and create a username and password that you will remember because you can use it in the future to gain assess to Vault Online.

CAREER VIDEOS
• Career TV contains videos categorized by industry, company, location, and career advice.
• Vault posts videos on featured companies, job search and interview advice, top internships, workplace diversity and vault events. Click on “Videos” in the top header.
• Watch one- to two-minute videos on MyPlan’s Video Library for nearly 500 different careers and industries. *Requires Real Media Player, Quicktime, or Windows Media Player.

CAREER SEARCH
A database of over four million organizations that can be searched by type and location. It also has information on specific cities and salary information. (Paid for by the Parents Council).
• Self-register Career Search by clicking on the link above. Click on “Create an Account Now”
under new users and fill in the fields.
• The first box is for the referral key which is: umw04
• After filling in the boxes accordingly you will be brought back to the screen above with all the
boxes under “Returning Users” filled in. Click “Log in Now”; welcome to your new account!

In-Office Resources
What can I do with a major in... - (Available via links in the table below) Developed in conjunction with faculty career advisors, these provide general descriptions of the majors, identify career possibilities and hiring institutions, and list resources for further information.
Resource Center - Find information about hundreds of career fields; this includes salary ranges, books related to specific majors and graduate school information. The Resource Center is located in Lee Hall, room 308 and no appointment is required.
Eagle Mentoring Database - Students can use this database to find alumni working in a career field of interest in order to gather information about the field and to make contacts. Access this information online through Experience or hard-copy in the Resource Center.
Faculty Career Advisors - Each department has a designated faculty member who serves as a liaison with Career Services and is knowledgeable about the resources and information available. Students can locate these advisors on the What can I do with a major in...sheets.
Computers with Word and internet access - Students may use these computers to type and print résumés and cover letters. Access to eRecruiting and other websites is also available.
