Course Registration, June 12 – 18

During this week, you will select your fall courses through UMW's online course registration service (known as Banner). To prepare for registration, you should consult the various resources that will be available to you (especially the Academic Planning Guide) and you should have a plan for your schedule (including alternate courses) before you start a registration session. You may access the registration system from anywhere so long as you have a working Internet connection available.

Notification of your specific registration time period will be sent to you on June 2, 2008 through the Eaglelink portal (as a "personal announcement") and will also be sent to your UMW email address.

The "registration tools" that you will use in order to register are located under the ACADEMICS tab in Eaglelink. You will be able access the registration system as many times as you like as you develop your course schedule. When your assigned registration time period ends, however, you will not be able to make schedule changes until the schedule adjustment period begins.

To manage the registration process effectively, the entering class of students will be divided into two groups. One group will register on June 12-13, and the other on June 17-18. In order give each group similar opportunities to schedule classes, the open spaces in courses will be divided between the two registration groups. The day before the group registering on June 17-18 starts, the additional course spaces that were initially held back will be added so that courses that were closed during the first part of registration will open up again in preparation for the second group.
