Transfer Tuesdays

Transfer students have different advising needs then freshman and we realize that at the University of Mary Washington. You may be a commuter, taking classes while working, or balancing more family obligations. Regardless we want you to succeed at the University of Mary Washington which is why we are offering orientation/advising sessions specifically designed with you in mind. These Transfer Tuesdays will cover a variety of topics from how to do research on campus to career preparation and planning. They will always be held in Lee Hall, room 411A beginning at 4:00pm on the dates below. These events will be a great way to learn more about UMW and to meet various people on campus. Some of the events will also feature panels of previous transfer students to provide you with their personal experiences about the weekly topic. And if all of this is not incentive enough we'll also be providing refreshments for all attendees (bottled water and cookies). If you have any questions about Transfer Tuesdays feel free to contact the Office of Academic Services.
