Outcomes Assessment

Assessment Coordinator: Dr. JeanAnn Dabb

Image - pen Good writing is an essential skill for art historians. The Art History program seeks to strengthen this skill, assessing your development as a writer from declaration to graduation.

During the semester when you declare your major , you must submit two essays written for either an Art History class or any 100- or 200-level course. During the final semester before graduation, you must then submit another essay, from either a 300- or 400-level Art History class for assessment of your writing skills. (Turn both essays in to the department office, duPont 306).

To facilitate the assessment, the Program Assessment Coordinator will meet with you individually to discuss your portfolio of written work.
