| * Only three credits earned
in an internship (ARTS 499) can be applied to the Studio Art major.

| The following assessments are required for evaluating a student's progress during the course of the program. |

To assess their progress in the program, Studio Art majors are required to submit a professional slide portfolio of work produced in UMW Studio Art courses no later than spring of their junior year. Choice of Senior Assessment (exhibition or portfolio) is also made at this time.
During their senior year, Studio Art majors must present their best work produced during the program through either an exhibition or slide portfolio. (If applying for Honors in Studio Art, majors must do both.)
