Outside the classroom and campus community, Studio Art faculty pursue independent work as artists, developing projects and participating in both national and international exhibits.

Inside the classroom, Studio Art majors develop a solid foundation in technique, design principles, and the generation of ideas in traditional media. Each is required to submit a portfolio for assessment (by his or her junior year), as well as another portfolio or work for an exhibit (for senior assessment).
