Self Service Banner

 

Here's your road map to completing your degree.

UMW has made it easy for students to make sure they are on the right track to complete all the necessary requirements for graduation. Self Service Banner is a system used to track student progress and performance. Not only are students able to view an unofficial transcript, they are also able to perform Degree Evaluations to make sure they are headed in the right direction.

This section will give step-by-step instructions on how to access student academic information through Self Service Banner.

Instructions to Request a Degree Evaluation

If you are a matriculated UMW student, you can log onto Banner to request, view and print degree evaluations for any degree program.

  • Login to the Eaglelink Portal and go to the "Banner Self-Service" channel on the upper right.
  • Select Student Services and Financial Aid
  • Select Student Records
  • Select Degree Evaluation
  • Select a Term (Select current term; Submit)
  • Link at Bottom of Page: Select Generate New Evaluation (to produce a degree evaluation for the listed curriculum) or What-if Analysis (to produce an evaluation for any available program and major)

Generate a New Evaluation

By generating a new Degree Evaluation, you will see the most up-to-date information regarding your progress. It is suggested that you generate a new Degree Evaluation at least once a semester. Also, be sure to bring your most recent Degree Evaluation with you to your advising appointments.

  • Program (Select radio button)
  • Term (Select anticipated graduation term)
  • Generate Request
  • Submit

What-if Analysis

The "What-If Analysis" enables you to run a Degree Evaluation for any UMW major. This tool is perfect for a quick and easy way to find out how many courses you will need to complete different majors/programs. The system automatically distributes your courses in the correct areas.

  • Entry Term (Select catalog term; Continue)
  • Program (Select program; Continue)
  • First Major (Select major; Submit)
  • Evaluation Term (Select anticipated graduation term)
  • Generate Request
  • Submit
