PUBLIC DEBATE TO BE HELD AT MARY WASHINGTON COLLEGE, FEB. 23
Fredericksburg, Va. - The Mary Washington College Debate Program will host a public debate with Clarion University on Wednesday, Feb. 23 at 7:30 p.m in Trinkle Hall, Room 204.
The topic of the debate is, "Should Mary Washington College require all undergraduates to complete 40 hours of community service before graduation?"
Mary Washington College will be represented by junior Matthew Roberts and senior Amber Tussing.
The Mary Washington College students will argue that students should be required to do community service, while the Clarion University students will argue that they should not.
Clarion University, located in Clarion, Pa., will be represented by Courtney Morton and Scott O'Donnell, both sophomores.
The debate is open to the public and there will be an open audience question period.
