THE HELBUSH SCHOLARSHIPS
Two awards
Application deadline is one week before spring semester classes end.

The Department of English, Linguistics, and Communication announces the Spring 2009 deadline for two Helbush Scholarships. The Helbush Scholarships will be awarded to two continuing students based upon academic achievement and financial need for the 2000-2010 academic year.

To apply:

• You must be an English major with at least 12 credits in the major from the ELC Department;
• You must have a minimum of 2.5 overall G.P.A.;
• You must write a two-page essay about how the English major has influenced your intellectual life;

Submit the application form, the essay, and a Banner-generated transcript to the ELC Scholarship Committee chair, Dr.Richards. Application deadline is one week before spring semester classes end: April 16, 2010. Contact Professor Teresa Kennedy (540-654-1531) for more information.
