VIRGINIA ANNUAL CONFERENCE ARCHIVIST
The Virginia Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church is seeking a part-time Conference Archivist whose duties would include: administering the Conference Archives housed in the United Methodist Center in Glen Allen, Virginia; responding to research queries received by email, telephone and letter; and receiving, processing, and accessioning appropriate materials for the Archives.
Qualifications for this position are: certification by Academy of Certified Archivists or
Bachelor's degree plus advanced archivist training in masters program, workshops, etc., or
Bachelor's degree plus two or more years of library or archival work experience. Computer competency is expected. The position is 10 hours per week in 2009 with an anticipation of 20 hours per week in 2010. The weekly schedule is flexible. Salary is $20 per hour.
