Phi Alpha Theta

As noted in its mission statement, Phi Alpha Theta is an honors society dedicated to the promotion of the study of history and to the aims of strong research, teaching, and intellectual exchange in the profession.

Membership Requirements

You must have completed at least 12 hours of graded course work in History, but you do not need to be a History major.

You must have obtained an overall GPA of 3.0 and a GPA of 3.2 in History.

Based on these criteria, invitations for memberships will be distributed to qualified students during the spring semester.
