James Farmer Scholars Summer Residential Program June 22, 2008 - June 28, 2008

This year, the scholars will arrive on Sunday, June 22, 2008 at the University of Mary Washington for the annual James Farmer Scholars Summer Program..

During the week scholars will be able to attend academic classes, as well as participate in a variety of extra - curricular activities. Scholars will be able to take a variety of classes this year including, English, Math modeling, Chemistry, Environmental Science, and Multicultural awareness. These classes will be taught by numerous returning teachers, and also a few new teachers.

The scholars will be allowed to sign up for extra curricular activities that will be held in the afternoon, after their academic classes. Extracurricular activities this year will include: Photography, Basketball, Sex Education, Drama, and Newspaper writing.

Every evening during the week the scholars will have an opporitunity to participate in numerous activities that will be planned for them, including activities which will allow the scholars to travel off campus.
