The Department of Mathematics at the University of Mary Washington invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level to begin August 16, 2009.  A Ph.D. in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics is required.  Candidates must be committed to excellence in teaching and professional growth in an undergraduate liberal arts environment. 

Preference will be given to applicants with expertise in applied mathematics.  The successful candidate will play a major role in the further development of our emerging applied mathematics program aimed at preparing students for future jobs in government and industry.  The department offers many opportunities for advanced students and we seek candidates who can complement our offerings.
