Reading, conversation, and composition in Italian with emphasis on communication and analysis of language through lectures, discussions, and presentations. Literary essays, short stories, newspaper articles, videos, as well as films and operas will be used in the classroom to exemplify different patterns of expression and to illustrate the direct connection between language, culture, and behavior.
