Residence Life Student Leaders Wanted!!!

Looking for energetic, enthusiastic, honest, and hardworking Resident Assistants interested in crisis intervention, maintaining campus safety, responding to student concerns, and educating their peers.  Competitive compensation package offered!  At least one semester of Resident Assistant experience required.

Standards for Consideration:

For all HR Candidates:

    • At least a 2.5 cumulative GPA
    • Be in good judicial standing
    • Full-time undergraduate student (12 credit hours minimum)
    • No outside responsibilities that require more than a 10 hour per week commitment
    • Have at least one semester of experience as an RA.
    • Complete all required essay questions included in the application packet.

For returning HR candidates:

    • Attend one information session. (Mandatory)
    • Attend Open House. (Recommended, but not mandatory)
    • Submit a letter of intent to return to the HR position
    • Submit a letter of recommendation from your current supervisor

For new HR candidates:

    • Attend one information session. Mandatory.
    • Attend Open House. Recommended, but not mandatory.
    • Submit a current resume (your RA position should be included)
    • Submit a cover letter
    • Submit a reference letter from your current supervisor (HR, RD, AC)
    • Submit two other reference letters (cannot be from a friend or family member)

How to Apply:

  • Attend an Information Session, if you are unable to attend an Information Session you may contact Kari Stegel-Gent to arrange an appointment.
  • Complete the application.
  • Submit the application, cover letter, resume, and letters of reference to the Office of Residence Life no later than Monday, November 23rd at 5 PM. {If you are interested in applying for an Alternate position for the Spring 2009 semester, please refer to the Selection Timeline page for earlier deadlines.}
