Disability Housing Accommodations & Air Conditioning Requests
- Any student requesting consideration for disability housing accommodations, including air conditioning, must complete and submit the disability housing accommodations application packet to the Office of Disability Services (GW 209). You are encouraged to submit requests for fall as soon as possible.
- Please pick up the forms to be completed by both student and physician from the table located on the 2nd floor hallway of GW at the bulletin board beside the elevator, or by visiting the Disability Services website.
- Students need to submit their completed request for consideration no later than February 13.
- The committee will consider only fully completed forms accompanied by medical documentation. The committee will determine eligibility in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
- Decisions will be emailed to students. They will not be given by phone.
- Accommodated students and their preferred roommates who have received Housing Selection numbers are required to meet with the Housing Coordinator on Wednesday, February 25 to finalize assignments. Details will be included in the letter from the Office of Disability Services (ODS).
- Accommodated students are permitted to fill a room. Rooms with vacancies will be filled during general housing selection or by Residence Life over the summer.
- All assignments are in traditional housing unless an individual has been specifically accommodated for an apartment.
- Those who do not meet with the Housing Coordinator on February 25 are responsible for selecting their own housing during general housing selection in March in the Great Hall
- Please contact the ODS with questions pertaining to eligibility or committee decisions.
