Katie Robinson ‘09
Katie lived in Paris for the month of June studying Photography and French. After her courses she backpacked through central Europe. The cities she stayed in included: Barcelona, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Prague, Budapest, Rome, and Milan.

Lindsay Easley '08
Lindsay participated in the European Capitals program sponsored by the departments of History and Political Science. She spent a month at the beginning of the summer touring the cities of London, Paris, Vienna, Venice and Rome. For more information about the European Capitals program here at UMW, click here.

Diane Rogers ’08 & Layton Kuchinski ‘08
Diane and Layton traveled to Bath, England to study fantasy literature, specifically the work of Tolkien and C.S. Lewis. While in Bath, they took the opportunity to also visit Oxford, London, Cornwall, Glastonbury, and Cardiff.
Sommer Long ’08
Sommer volunteered at Our Chalet, one of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts world centres, in Adelboden, Switzerland. She led excursions and activities for the international guests as well as doing all kinds of things (cleaning, cooking, maintenence) needed to keep the centre running.
