Publicity, Marketing and Publications Subcommittee

This subcommittee will have responsibility for promoting and publicizing the events of the Centennial, and supporting the work of the Centennial Steering Committee and its various subcommittees. In addition, this subcommittee will be called upon to coordinate and support several special institutional projects that are approved by and funded by the President, such as the institution’s ‘coffee table book,’ institutional history, and other special projects. Related to this charge, this subcommittee will be responsible for researching the various possibilities for promoting the institution’s Centennial through ‘publicity, marketing and publications,’ and suggesting to the Steering Committee that specific projects be considered for financial support and implementation as part of the Centennial celebration.

The Publicity, Marketing and Publications Subcommittee will be responsible for such programs as supporting the work of the Steering Committee and its subcommittees in terms of ‘publicity, marketing and publications’; supporting, and in some cases coordinating, special projects and initiatives of the President for the Centennial; researching centennials and other anniversary celebrations at other colleges and universities in order to develop a set of recommendations for the Steering Committee to consider that would help with its efforts to gain recognition and build pride in the institution as part of the Centennial celebration; handling such projects as the graphic design package for the Centennial celebration, including development of a Centennial logo and theme; developing Centennial stationery; and working with such projects as the coffee table book, campus and community banners, Centennial web site, wall calendar, etc.
