Academic Jeopardy Advising

When a student is placed on Academic Probation he/she is considered to be in Academic Jeopardy. Academic Probation occurs when a degree-seeking undergraduate student's GPA drops below a 2.0. Once placed on Academic Probation the student may continue his/her enrollment until an additional 12 hours of course work is completed. Non-degree students who are placed on Academic Probation must petition the College of Graduate and Professional Studies's Board on Academic Standing to return as a non-degree seeking student. Non-degree students on Academic Probation can also apply to become a degree-seeking student.

As appropriate, a notation of probation status is entered on the student's permanent record. It is recommended strongly that all students placed on Academic Probation consult an Academic Advisor.
