All marching graduates are required to purchase regalia.
All credit cards accepted. Students who do not order online will need to purchase regalia during graduation week at the UMW Bookstore and will be assessed a $5.00 late fee.

Reception and awards ceremony
This year's CGPS Reception and Awards Ceremony will be held onThursday, May 8, 2008 at 6:00 pm in University Hall, CGPS North. ( This is a change from it's originally scheduled date of Friday, May 9.) Please RSVP by Thursday, May 1, 2008 providing the total number in your party, to Janet West, (540) 286-8080 or contact her by email.
Rehearsal
A mandatory rehearsal for all graduates participating in the commencement ceremony will be held on Friday, May 9, 2008.
Undergraduate degree candidates report to the main floor of Dodd Auditorium at 1:00 pm for graduation-related information and rehearsal.

All May degree candidates are expected to attend both the rehearsal and the ceremony. If you cannot attend you must request permission, in writing, to be excused no later that April 18, 2008. Email, fax, or mail, are all acceptable. Direct your request to:

Those who graduated from either campus during the summer or fall of 2007 and who wish to take part in the May ceremony are most warmly welcomed. In order to be included in the ceremony, please submit your request in writing no later than April 1, 2008. Commencement
On Saturday, May 10, 2008, all degree candidates will line up for processional at Jefferson Square, which is the driveway around Combs, Jefferson and Bushnell Halls, by 8:15 am sharp. There will be faculty and staff available to help with regalia.
At exactly 9:00 am, candidates will proceed down campus walk, through the faculty and President’s receiving lines, to Ball Circle for the conferring of degrees.
Graduation Luncheon
The graduation luncheon will be at Palmieri Plaza, immediately following the ceremony. In case of rain, the luncheon will be held in Seacobeck Hall.
Tickets must be picked up between April 21 and May 9,2008, at the Cashier’s Office in GW Hall. Each candidate is issued 3 complimentary tickets (1 for the graduate and 2 for guests). Additional tickets may be purchased at the same location for $8.50 each. Children 6 and under do not require tickets.
