Professional Certification Preparation
Project Management Prep Course
CGPS has been a Project Management Institute (PMI) Registered Education Provider (R.E.P.) and a Virginia Information Technologies (VITA) Approved Training Partner since 2003 and more than 250 regional project management professionals have successfully completed the PMP® Prep Course. Additionally, the College has conducted on-site PMP® Prep Courses for L-3Com/Titan, the County of Spotsylvania Information Systems Department, and BAE Systems.
The 35-hour PMP® Prep Course, offered each year, is taught by certified and experienced instructors so participants acquire the most up-to-date knowledge and the lessons of experience. It is designed for individuals preparing for the PMP® or CAPM® Exams or for experienced professionals who are seeking continued professional development.

Human Resource Certification Course:
Society For Human Resource Management HR Certification Course
CGPS has been a Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) College/University Partner since 1999 and more than 300 regional HR professionals have successfully completed SHRM Certification and the Essentials of Human Resource Management courses. Additionally, the College has conducted on-site SHRM Certification Courses for clients including Booz Allen Hamilton, Fairfax County Public Schools, and Mary Washington Hospital/MediCorp Health System.
The SHRM Certification Course, offered each year, is taught by certified and experienced instructors so participants acquire the most up-to-date knowledge and the lessons of experience. It is designed for individuals preparing for the national Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) Certification Exams (SPHR or PHR) or experienced professionals who are seeking an overview of the field and continued professional development.
