Student Writing Contest: Calendar Year 2009
This contest is open to all University of Mary Washington students taking classes at CGPS. Interested students should submit a double-spaced, clean, revised copy of what they consider their best paper of any length written for any CGPS course. Students may enter two papers if the papers were written for different courses, but a paper may not be submitted in multiple categories. Entries should be nonfiction prose, and can include essays, research studies, reports, case studies, and white papers.
Winning paper authors will receive a $100 cash prize, have their work acknowledged at a special reception, and have their paper published electronically on the CGPS Writing Center web site. The number of winners will depend on the number and quality of entries for each category. Contest officials reserve the right to combine or divide categories - or create additional ones - depending on the number, nature, and quality of entries.
