Handicapped Parking
Students who have a Virginia handicapped parking hang tag or license plates may register their vehicles with the campus police. They do not need an MWC hang tag in order to park on campus.
Students who do not have a handicapped parking hang tag from the state of Virginia, but need to use handicapped parking spaces on campus should contact the Office of Disability Services and present documentation from an appropriate physician that supports the request. The Office of Disability Services will notify the campus police if the request is approved. Students may then pick up permits from campus police.
Students with handicapped parking permits may park in any parking space on campus except for those reserved for service vehicles. However, they should park in handicapped spaces when available.
For locations of handicapped parking spaces, see "Accessibility Map" on our web site at http://www.umw.edu/disability.
