Information Technology and Institutional Research

The Department of Information Technology and the Office of Institutional Research and Reporting report to the CIO and Vice President for IT/IR. 

The division of Information Technology supports and manages institutional information infrastructure (individual computing stations, servers, software, and network), and enterprise data. IT/IR enables the University to leverage institutional data in service to the institutional mission.

Technology questions, problems and concerns

The primary contact for technology questions and concerns is the Help Desk. Located in the basement of GW Hall on the Fredericksburg campus, the Help Desk may be reached at 540/654-2255, or via e-mail at helpdesk@umw.edu.
