Eaglelink Troubleshooting Tips
If you are having trouble logging into Eaglelink, try these suggestions:
Using AOL or MSN?
- Minimize the AOL or MSN Browser.
- Use Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox instead.
All of the icons disappear when I click on them
- Clear the browser’s cache.
- Check the security settings. Reset them to the default.
- The issue may be a firewall setting:
- Are you at work or school where there is a firewall?
- If so, try logging on and turning off your firewall temporarily.
- You may have a setting that is blocking the icons.
I’m timing out
The time out for Eaglelink is 45 minutes of inactivity in a user account. If you're timing out more quickly than that, try these suggestions:
- Try logging in from another computer.
- Also try a different web browser. There may be a toolbar or other application installed on your computer/browser that is forcing a logout. The MSN browser is known not to work.
- Login and do nothing for a full minute. Are you logged out of the portal or are you able to navigate after that minute has elapsed?
- Login and try clicking through each of the tabs at the top (Eaglelink Home, IT Support, ...). Does clicking on any particular tab log you out?
- Try clicking on different links. If a particular link logs you out, note which link it is and let us know. Also let us know what you are using (Windows or Mac) and which browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape, etc.).
- Try clearing cookies, enabling cookies, and enabling javascript in their usual browser.
