Joseph C. Di Bella, Distinguished Professor of Art, earned an MFA (1976) and an M.A. (1975) in painting from Northern Illinois University, after receiving his B.A. (1972) in art history from Rutgers College. The recipient of the University’s 1983 Grellet C. Simpson Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching, Di Bella is a knowledgeable source in the areas of color theory, painting, drawing, and issues in contemporary art. A signature member of the National Watercolor Society, Di Bella has exhibited his paintings and drawings in regional, national, and international venues. His work also has been featured in national publications.
