Manning G. Collier, Associate Professor of Mathematics, earned both a Ph.D. (1980) in mathematics and an M.S. (1977) in applied mathematics from Vanderbilt University. He received a B.S. (1973) in mathematics from Furman University. The recipient of a Vanderbilt Research Award for his outstanding research accomplishments, Dr. Collier is an expert in general mathematics, real/complex analysis and functional analysis. He is a member of the American Mathematical Society and Sigma Xi Scientific Research Society.
