Helen M. Housley, Associate Professor of Theatre, earned a Ph.D. (1991) in theatre from the University of Maryland, after receiving an M.A. (1976) in theatre from Western Illinois University and a B.A. (1974) in drama and English literature from St. Mary’s College, Notre Dame. A member of the Lessac Training and Research Institute, Association for Theatre in Higher Education, and the Voice and Speech Trainers Association, Dr. Housley has 30 years of experience as a theatre educator and director and has served in professional positions as artistic director and theatre manager. She is a certified Lessac Voice Trainer.
