"Classes without quizzes"

Alumni College provided an opportunity for alumni, friends, faculty, staff, and community members to come together to learn about and discuss timely topics in a friendly and fun setting.  The first day of Alumni College 2008 featured an opening lunch with Pulitzer-prize winning poet and Professor of English Claudia Emerson, afternoon class sessions and field trips at the Fredericksburg campus, plus an evening reception at Brompton.  The second day began at the Stafford campus with breakfast, several optional class sessions, and a lunch program featuring Professor of Education and Director of Education Programs Brenda Vogel.
