Naming Opportunities
At the University of Mary Washington, endowed gifts may be utilized to support a variety of programs and projects including scholarships, research, international study, campus beautification, student activities, operations, and cultural enrichment. Naming opportunities are available and may be requested by the donor.
Programs, scholarships, and naming opportunities require a minimum level of investment as specified and approved by the UMW Board of Visitors. Examples of endowment designations and naming opportunities include: *
| Named Merit or Need-based Scholarship | $20,000 |
| Faculty Summer Research Fellowship | $200,000 |
| Named Full-ride Washington Scholarship | $250,000 |
| Named Full-ride Alvey Scholarship | $500,000 |
| Named Endowed Faculty Chairs | $1 million |
