Each spring, Mary Washington supporters have the opportunity to meet scholarship recipients at a special luncheon. This year's event was held in the Rappahannock Grand Ballroom at the Jepson Alumni Executive Center.

The focus was on the talents and skills of all scholarship recipients as showcased through various displays and performances.

Students took the opportunity to thank the donors of their scholarships in person, and all donors enjoyed visiting with the students who benefit first-hand from their gifts.

Theresea Young Crawley '77, the Event Chair for the UMW Foundation Board, welcomed more than 200 guests and invited them to enjoy their lunch.

Guests were treated to special performances by student scholarship recipients.

After dessert, Board of Visitors Rector J. William Poole. thanked all donors for their loyalty to Mary Washington. He said that scholarship support is very important to help fulfill the educational mission of the University and to help students achieve their life goals. Currently, more than 200 separate scholarships and awards are available to assist approximately 400 UMW students.

Student Government President Jay K. Sinha '07 thanked donors on behalf of all student recipients.

After the luncheon program, donors and their recipients met in Kalnen Inn to pose for keepsake photos.
