History Assistant Professor

The Department of History and American Studies at the University of Mary Washington invites applications for a one-year, Visiting Assistant Professor position in American History from 1783 to 1860 (Early Republic to Antebellum) with an interest in the Atlantic World and/or transnational movements. The position is set to begin August 16, 2010.

Requirements: ABD Required, PhD by start date strongly preferred. The successful candidate must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and will contribute to the department's US History survey offerings as well as teach upper-level lecture courses and seminars.
