Sabrina Johnson
Sabrina Johnson serves as the Associate Vice President for Human Resources and AAEEO. She has been with the University of Mary Washington since 1997. Prior to her service at UMW, she was a management consultant and employment counselor with the Department of Employment Dispute Resolution for four years. Sabrina is licensed by the Virginia State Bar (1991), having earned her J.D. from the College of William and Mary. She also possesses a Masters of Public Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University (1982). In 2004, she was appointed to the State Council for Human Resources by Governor Mark Warner for which she is currently serving her second term. sjohnson@umw.edu
Tammy Prailey
Tammy serves as the Human Resources Office Manager and the University's Workers' Compensation Coordinator. Tammy has been employed with the Commonwealth since 1993, working at Virginia Tech - Northern Virginia Center and the Virginia Department of Transportation before joining UMW in March 2004. Tammy graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and is pursuing a Master's of Education at the University of Mary Washington. Notary Public. tprailey@umw.edu
Marilyn Birriel
Marilyn Birriel has been employed with the University of Mary Washington since June 2007. She serves as the Office Services Coordinator and first point of contact for Human Resources. Marilyn was born in Puerto Rico and moved to the U.S. in 1991. She has a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics/Nutrition from the University of Puerto Rico and a diploma from Eldorado College in Office Administration and Procedures. Marilyn has worked for the private sector in insurance and banking; and for eight years, with the public and private school systems. Her diverse background includes serving as an Instructional Billingual Aide in California. She moved to the area in 2006, after being overseas in Okinawa, Japan for four years. Christina Dennis
Christina joined the University in November 2008, and serves as the Benefits Administrator and Employee Relations Manager. She is a Senior Human Resources generalist with extensive experience in all human resources functions. Christina has worked in the human resources field for over 20 years - five years in higher education and over 15 years in industries including information technology, legal, insurance, and government. She is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management and holds a Senior Professional certification in Human Resources. cdennis@umw.edu

Michelle Dandridge
Michelle joined the University in October 2009, serving as the Hiring and Recruitment Manager. Prior to joining us, she worked at the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia. Paula Wilder
Paula joined the Human Resources Office in 2003, as the Information Systems Manager. She spent two years as a Human Resources Analyst with the Virginia Department of Transportation in Richmond. Previously, she was a Human Resources Generalist for Bell Atlantic for thirteen years and worked as a customer service representative at C&P Telephone and New England Telephone.
