CVC is the annual workplace campaign that facilitates state employee giving to local and national charities.  TOGETHER, state employees have raised $25 million since 1997.

The University's campaign runs October 22 - December 31, 2009. This year's theme is $2 Can Do A Lot, Can You?

PLEDGE UPDATE: $6,006 (as of November 20)

WHY SHOULD I CONTRIBUTE TO CVC?

  1. YOU can make a positive difference in the lives of those in need.
  2. All of the charities are FISCALLY SOUND, having been prescreened.
  3. 100% of your designated contribution goes to the charity stated.  NO ADMINISTRATIVE FEES (brand new this year as a result of employee requests.)
  4. There are over 1,300 participating charities.  You have many CHOICES to give.
  5. A percentage of each undesignated (or general pool) contribution will also go to your charity of choice.  These MATCHING FUNDS increase the power of your contribution.
  6. CVC giving is VERSATILE:  cash, check, credit card or payroll deduction.  PAYROLL DEDUCTION allows you to budget your contribution throughout the year, beginning with your January 16 paycheck.
  7. The ONLINE giving option is CONVENIENT and SECURE through EmployeeDirect.  Go to http://www.cvc.vipnet.org/index.html and click the green GIVE NOW button within the “Ready to make a donation” box.
  8. Your contribution is TAX DEDUCTIBLE.
