Welcome to International Academic Services

The Office of International Academic Services (IAS) provides support to students interested in study abroad opportunities and serves the needs of international students and scholars.

In the 2008-2009 acadmic year, IAS is administering sixteen UMW sponsored study abroad programs, as well as seventeen faculty-led programs. In addition to these UMW programs, students desiring an educational experience abroad may select from a variety of programs offered by other universities and providers.

IAS serves the needs of international students and scholars by providing immigration services and admissions services to international exchange students. IAS will guide international students and scholars through the process of obtaining their visas and maintaining status. Our office also supports international-focused activities and programs such as the International Friendship Program, potluck dinners, and field trips.
