Funding For Study Abroad

Financial Aid - The following financial aid programs are available for study abroad: Federal Pell Grant, Federal Stafford Loans, Federal Parent Loans (PLUS), and alternative loans. To apply for financial aid for study abroad, click here.

Scholarships - The following scholarships are available for semester and year-long study abroad programs: the Cultural Envoy , Grellet C. Simpson and Barbara Alden , the Carlos and Carol Muldoon Martel Scholarship, and the Richard P. Palmieri scholarships. In addition, our affiliated programs offer discounts to UMW students. There are other monies available through various study abroad organizations, some of which are listed below. Please be mindful of the deadlines for financial aid and scholarships, as they may be much earlier than the actual program application deadlines.
